The European Journal of Counselling Psychology invites submissions for publication on any aspect of
Counselling Psychology. Papers concerned with professional issues, the
training of Counselling Psychologists and the application and practice of
Counselling Psychology across Europe are particularly welcome. The goal is
to publish mostly original articles, substantiated with empirical data or
other means; they must include references that are current, from quality
journals and of an appropriate number for the articles.Manuscripts should be typewritten
in English (United Kingdom) in Microsoft Word (versions 1997 onwards; if
using the latest versions please be sure to save as compatible for 97-2003,
i.e. ".doc"). Type should be double spaced with 1" margins on one
side of A4 paper. Each manuscript should include a word count. Sheets should
be numbered on the bottom right corner. For authors' convenience they are
invited to use the journal template.
On a separate sheet include author's
name, any relevant qualifications, address, telephone number, current
professional activity and a statement that the article is not under
consideration elsewhere for publication (full addresses for authors is a
requirement of PsycINFO). As articles are peer reviewed, the rest
of the manuscript should be free of information identifying the author.
Authors should follow the ethical principles of Non-Sexist Language; a copy
should be retained by the author. Written permission should be obtained by
the author for the reproduction of material taken from other sources.
Submissions must include key words and an abstract. The abstract should be no longer
than 250 words / 1,500 to 2,000 characters (depending on the length of the paper) and it should be
written in such as way that the reader can understand it independently of
the body of the paper.
In line with the Requirements for PsycINFO Abstracts (American
Psychological Association, 2007) key elements for an abstract vary according
to the type of article (the order in which key elements are placed may vary
from article to article for any type). Abstracts should present key elements
precisely and concisely, with no extraneous information. Abstracts should
not contain data tables, figures, or references. Most of all, they must
accurately reflect the content of the article.
